Announced on July 26, 2023, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra became available on August 11, 2023, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.




BODY

The tablet features sleek dimensions of 326.4 x 208.6 x 5.5 mm, making it incredibly slim and lightweight at 732 grams. Its exquisite build comprises a glass front, aluminum frame, and aluminum back. The device is also IP68 dust and water-resistant, with a rating of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Moreover, it comes equipped with a stylus that offers a remarkable 2.8ms latency, complete with Bluetooth integration, accelerometer, and gyroscopic capabilities.


DISPLAY


The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra sports a captivating Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. This 14.6-inch screen boasts a remarkable screen-to-body ratio of approximately 90.7% and a resolution of 1848 x 2960 pixels, providing a pixel density of about 239 ppi. To protect this stunning display, Corning Gorilla Glass is incorporated.


PLATFORM


Running on Android 13 with One UI 5.1, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset built on a 4 nm process. Its robust octa-core CPU configuration includes a Cortex-X3 core clocked at 3.36 GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores at 2.8 GHz, two Cortex-A710 cores at 2.8 GHz, and three Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0 GHz. The Adreno 740 GPU it ensures exceptional graphics performance and results.

With four stereo speakers, the tablet delivers immersive audio quality tuned by AKG. It does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The tablet offers extensive connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e with tri-band support, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP and LE support, and GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and GALILEO for precise positioning. While NFC is not included, it features a USB Type-C 3.2 port and a magnetic connector for convenience.

Performance benchmarks indicate impressive results, with AnTuTu scores of 1199328 (v9) and 1533645 (v10), GeekBench scores of 4835 (v5.5) and 5415 (v6.0), and GFXBench achieving 58fps (ES 3.1 onscreen). The tablet's display boasts an infinite nominal contrast ratio, and its loudspeakers exhibit excellent audio quality with a rating of -21.2 LUFS.
